Sidewalk Work Next Week at Hospital and 70th

The week of Sept. 26 several projects will be happening to improve sidewalks and gravel paths at the hospital campus and 70th & Sand Point Way building. Starting Monday, Sept. 26, Pacific Earthworks will be improving the gravel pathway in the pocket park at the southwest corner of the hospital campus (40th Ave NE & NE 45th St). A power buggie will be used to move gravel and other supplies; pathways will be closed intermittently during this work.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Precision Concrete Cutting will be onsite at the hospital to perform sidewalk repairs in several locations on the interior pathways on the south side of the hospital property. Crews are expected to work between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., noise from generators and equipment may be heard nearby.

When finished at the hospital campus on Tuesday, the crew will move to the 70th & Sand Point Way building (6901 Sand Point Way) to complete repairs to the interior pathway off of 70th. This work is expected to begin around noon and take approximately two hours to complete. Work is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the case of rain.


Tree Pruning on Hospital Campus Sept. 21 & 22

On Wednesday, Sept. 21 and Thursday, Sept. 22, Bartlett Tree Experts will prune trees a number of trees around the main hospital campus. This pruning is part of routine grounds maintenance. Tree Pruning at 6901 Sand Point Way Sept. 20

On Tuesday, Sept. 20, Bartlett Tree Experts will prune trees for light pole and security camera clearance around the parking lots of the Seattle Children’s building at NE 70th St and Sand Point Way NE. In addition, two small dead trees on the north side of the property will be removed.
