On Wednesday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 22, Bartlett Tree Experts will prune trees at Seattle Children’s hospital campus, Sand Point Learning Center and Seattle Children’s Magnuson Clinic. The work at the hospital campus will take place on Sept. 20, and the work at the other two sites will take place on Sept. 21 and Sept 22. Work includes pruning off large dead branches, pruning for light and building clearance, and removal of four failing willows. The work will be completed from within each property, with the exception of removal of dead branches from a large Leland cypress along NE 50th Street across from Sand Point Place NE. For that tree, there will be “no parking” signs placed along the road prior to the work to ensure safety and access, and the sidewalk below the tree will be closed for the duration of the work. Neighbors may hear noise from chainsaws and chippers between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. If you have questions, please contact Meghan Fuller, manager of Grounds Maintenance, at [email protected].
Mulch Placement at Hospital Campus, Sept. 19 and 20
On Tuesday, Sept. 19, and Wednesday, Sept. 20, Pacific Topsoils will place mulch at the Seattle Children’s hospital campus east of the Ocean parking garage. The mulch will be placed using a blower truck, which will park on the west side of 45th Avenue NE. Although the truck will block the southbound travel lane, vehicles will still have room to drive past. The blower truck will generate noise, and the mulch will generate some odors. If conditions are dry, the mulch placement could also create some dust. This work will occur from 9 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. If you have questions, please contact Meghan Fuller, manager of Grounds Maintenance, at [email protected].
