Building Care Boiler Work to Produce Steam and Noise, Aug. 16 to Aug. 20

From Monday, Aug. 16, to Friday, Aug. 20, construction crews will start up and calibrate the boilers in Building Care at the hospital campus. At times throughout the week, this will generate a “pinging” noise that may be audible to neighbors, and steam will be released from the northwest corner of the building. These periods of noise and steam discharge may last up to four hours at a time between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

There is no need for concern if you hear the noise or see the steam. We have notified the fire department of this work. Please call 206-987-8000 or email [email protected] with questions.
