On Friday, June 12, a lift will be placed outside the Forest zone, near the oxygen tanks located between the Emergency Department ambulance bay and 40^th Avenue NE. The lift will be used on Monday, June 15, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. to replace infection control panels with window glass on the exterior of Forest level 4.

A flagger will be present while the lift is in use. Security staff may also be present to ensure that drivers stay a safe distance from the work area. After work is complete, the lift will be moved to a staging area for pickup on Tuesday, June 16.

As an update to our post on May 21 regarding restricted parking along 40th Ave NE, the parking restrictions that were originally scheduled to end on Thursday, May 28 have been extended until Tuesday, June 2, to allow more time to move construction trailers.

On Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30, Seattle Children’s will install new windows on level 5 of the north side of the Forest zone. The work will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on both days

Tomorrow, ‘No Parking’ signs will be installed along 40^th Avenue, at 9 a.m. with notification of parking restrictions that will be in place next week. Beginning on Tuesday, May 26 and extending to Thursday, May 28, we will move construction trailers down this street to their new home in the Forest service parking lot.

Earlier this week we shared plans to clean and paint the Hartmann parking lot, located near the corner of 40^th Ave. NE and Sand Point Way NE. The work was expected to take place today, March 26, but due to the weather, this work is postponed to tomorrow, March 27. If the weather is inclement we will re-schedule for another day.

On Thursday, March 26, we plan to update the Hartmann parking lot, located near the corner of 40^th and Sand Point Way NE. The work will include grinding, cleaning and painting of the lot surface. Over the next couple of weekends, weather permitting, roof repair work is scheduled for our facilities located at the north side of the mid hospital campus. The work will be carried out between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, depending on conditions.

On Wednesday March 4, Seattle Children’s will install speed bumps on Penny Drive. A contractor will arrive at 8:00 a.m. and will begin the installation shortly after conducting a walk through. Two flaggers will be on-site to help direct traffic flow. Please be advised that potential traffic delays could occur on Penny Drive while the work is being carried out.
