Nature Paints Healing Picture

Rainbows are nature’s shimmering reminder that hope follows the storm. Our Building Hope expansion delivers a similar message to children and families facing a life-threatening illness or injury. When nature recently unfurled a rainbow above the new building, it painted an inspiring picture of healing.

The Smell of Progress

Ahhh, the smell of fresh asphalt in the morning. It’s the smell of … a new parking lot. Paving for Building Hope’s inpatient and emergency department parking lots will take place this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 1-2, and continue next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7-8. This work will be complete on Monday and Tuesday, October 14-15.

We appreciate your patience while we complete this slightly smelly, but necessary, project.

Helistop Will Move, But Rules Remain the Same

We’re wrapping up work on a new helistop. When Building Hope opens in spring 2013, helicopters will land in the southwest corner of the new parking area, where a raised open walkway will provide easy access to our new emergency department. Read full post »

Waldo Gets a Flu Shot

I have a question, Waldo fans. How come lots of people get the flu every year, but I don’t? Because I always get a flu shot! Flu shots sound scary, but all you feel is a quick tiny pinch. That’s a lot better than feeling super yucky for a week! Read full post »
