Bartlett Tree Experts will remove some trees at the hospital campus from Feb. 18 to Feb. 22.

From Tuesday, Feb. 18 to Thursday, Feb. 20, crews will remove six hazardous trees at the southeast corner of the hospital campus, near where Metro bus 78 exits Seattle Children’s property. This work will begin at approximately 8 a.m. each day. Noise will be generated by chainsaws and chippers. We do not expect any traffic or bus impacts.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, crews will remove trees on the north side of Penny Drive, near the River smoking shelter along Helen Lane and south of NE 47th Street near 44th Avenue NE (within Seattle Children’s property). Work will begin at approximately 8 a.m. on Feb. 22. Noise will be generated by chainsaws and chippers.

The trees being removed from the southeast corner of the campus are large and provide visual screening, so the area will look different after the trees are removed. The trees are hazardous, and removal is the most reasonable option. Seattle Children’s will assess the area after the tress are removed and will replant the area as soon as we can.
