The Northwest Carpenters Union (NCU) has given notice of its intent to strike. If the strike happens, union members may begin picketing outside the Building Care construction site at Seattle Children’s Hospital campus as early as Thursday, Sept. 16, and may also picket outside the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic Othello construction site.
We are hopeful the union will reach an agreement that can avoid a strike. However, we wanted to make our neighbors aware of the possibility of picketers should a strike occur.
If a strike does take place, work on Building Care that does not rely on members of NCU will continue.
